Clarity

S is a business owner whose work is breaking the mold in a change-resistant profession.

What drew you to MKLC and what was the problem you were seeking to solve?

I met Maya at an event. Having worked with a few different business and career coaches, I sensed there was something different in Maya, so I reached out. At the time, I felt confused and stuck. I was encountering a lot of resistance and I needed clarity: clarity on the direction I wanted to go with my work and clarity on the steps I needed to take to get there.

What were your initial impressions and what started to change right away?

Maya created the time and space to examine my situation from every angle. It wasn’t just a work problem I was facing because my work is not just a means to an end; it is about the impact I can make in the world and the kind of person I am.

Maya’s unique approach started to create shifts immediately. She is so knowledgeable and warm that she creates this welcoming space where I could be myself and do the work I had to do. And as I did the work and unbundled my professional and interpersonal selves, I started to gain a sense of clarity and ease that I had longed for. I finally arrived at a place of confidence that I am doing what I need to be doing day to day and that the blips and bumps I am running up against are normal and sometimes even helpful.

What feels different about your days now? What has changed in the way you approach your work?

I feel so much more grounded and focused on what I am doing, and that sense I used to carry that I was always lost in the weeds is gone. There is just so much more space available both in my mind and in my day.

A big change is that I now understand the kind of journey I am on, and I have tools and techniques for working through roadblocks both so I don’t get stuck.

What would you say to someone considering working with MKLC?

If you want to learn more about what really drives you and how to create focus around that and work towards things that are really meaningful to you, I would say go for it. If you are feeling a bit lost or questioning what you are doing, Maya can help you find that clarity. I cannot recommend MKLC enough.
